UNCF's An Evening of Stars® Tribute to Patti LaBelle

UNCF, the United Negro College Fund, celebrates its 30th Anniversary for An Evening of Stars®! Join Hollywood's hottest stars in a concert that celebrates the amazing soulful songbird Patti LaBelle and her work as a humanitarian. She is an advocate for children and minority education.The concert culminates with UNCF saluting Patti LaBelle with its highest honor, the Award of Excellence. Concert proceeds benefit UNCF's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Presented by Target.

National Sponsors are AT&T, McDonald's and Toyota. VIP Hospitality Sponsor is Wachovia. American Airlines is the official airline.

World Famous Mei Lanfang Beijing Opera Troupe from the Beijing Opera House

Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Saxophone Competition & The Blues and Jazz Gala

Herbie Hancock, Keb'Mo', Dee Dee Bridgewater, Robert Cray, Terence Blanchard, Wayne Shorter, Cassandra Wilson, George Duke, and many more to be announced* will come together for a special benefit Gala, The Blues and Jazz: Two American Classics to honor blues legend B.B. King and to support public school music education in Los Angeles, New Orleans and the Mississippi Delta.

The concert is being presented by the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz in association with The Recording Academy Los Angles Chapter. The Gala is in conjunction with the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition.
